Personally, I am not a fan of
getting married in Vegas, but I know a lot of you do. For those of you who want to
elope or like to get married in Vegas. Here is some information that you
might find helpful.
Marriage Process:
Step 1:
Both the Bride and Groom must go in
person to the Marriage Bureau at the Clark County Clerk’s
Office to apply for a marriage license. Don't forget to bring a form of Identification to prove your Name & Age (Identification Requirements).

The fee for a marriage license is $60, payable by cash, cashier’s check, money order, or credit card. Applicants may use American Express, Discover, MasterCard, or Visa. There is an additional $5.00 service charge for credit card transactions. Debit cards are not accepted unless the card is a debit/credit card.
Step 2:
After receiving your Marriage License,
your ceremony must be performed by a marriage official. A Marriage
License is good for one year.
There are many marriage chapels in Las Vegas to choose from. All of the chapels offer a variety of wedding packages that will include flowers, photographer, etc. The cost of a wedding ceremony will depend upon the chapel and the package you select.

Step 3:
You may also have a wedding ceremony
performed by a Commissioner of Civil Marriages.

Walking directions to The Office of Civil Marriages from the Marriage License Bureau:
Turn left when you exit the Marriage License Bureau and walk down the stairs or handicap ramp. Proceed left on Third Street. Walk approximately 1.5 blocks north (crossing Lewis Ave). The Office of Civil Marriages is located on the right-hand side of the street.
Step 4:
After your wedding ceremony has been
performed, the marriage official has 10 business days to send the marriage
certificate to the Recorder’s Office to be recorded.
Step 5:
A marriage certificate is usually
recorded by 3 p.m. the day it is received. Certified copies are available the
next day for purchase.
Step 6:
Foreign
countries require certified copies of marriage certificates in order to
register Las Vegas (Clark County) marriages in their country. Some foreign
countries also require an Apostille in order to register the marriage.
