Fan's Q&A

Serenayuet:
I have been really busy lately. You can try to using a different browser to reload the patterns. I really don't know why you would have a hard time loading the porjects. When I have more time, I will update the blog to be more user-friendly.

As far as the boot pattern, if you have difficulty machine sewing the patterns, a lot of people find it hand sewing works for them. It is a lot of fun making real leather boots. You can stain it to whatever color you like and it's very durable.

Jackelyn Colon:
" i have try your patterns and i love them bout i am trying the pattern of the
boot and i don't get how to sew the sole to the rest of the boot and now i
cant find the pattern again to read it could you please help my Chihuahua
and Maltese dog will appreciate your help i have try to post my project but
don't know how thank you in advance for your prompt response"

Chichi is really cute. She looks like a dog that a friend of mine just adopted, his name is Buddy. I am really glad you like my patterns. Thanks for sending me the picture of the finished dress. If you have any question, feel free to contact me, thanks! Enjoy!

"Almost a week ago we were lucky enough to adopt a 7 year old itty bitty sweetheart chihuahua (so I had to learn how to correctly spell chihuahua real quick!) from an animal shelter.  My 6 year old daughter immediately begged me to make ChiChi a "pile of clothes".  Your Bella Frill dress was the first one I just HAD TO MAKE and with a little bit of accidental tweaking it turned out wonderful!  My daughter was ecstatic and we laughed all day (ChiChi even seemed to enjoy her crazy cute dress)!  I just wanted to thank you for making this pattern available, I will definitely be making many more!"

Custom Made E-reader / Tablet Cover

This Kindle Cover was made for a friend that has recently purchased a Kindle E-reader.  You can make your own custom made E-reader / Tablet Cover using the information and patterns provided below.
Purchasing a cover can be expensive and sometimes it doesn't come in exactly the way you want it. I am a pocket kind of gal; love to have the extra pockets for USB cables, chargers and other stuff.

Mikki's Boots

Mikki really dislike getting himself wet from the rain. He doesn’t like the rain and refuse to get any part of his body wet when it rains. On rainy days, I would have to dress Mikki up with his rain jacket and boots, covered from head to toes or else he would not step outside. Once he is all dressed up, he would prance around and still walk under the trees and hop over puddles of water. I sometimes manage to get him out of the house not dressed up, but he would stand by the front door and refuse to walk. He even refused to go outside to the backyard by himself if it is drizzling. Mikki would go hide under our covered pergola. After he gets back inside the house, he would then go to his wee wee pad. I have bought him a set of boots that cost $70, but after awhile, it fell apart due to all the walking and running.

Doggy Cuffed Pant

Yoly had posted a comment asking for a doggy pant pattern, therefore, I have created this pattern. This pant is a great addition to any garment you make for your dog. You can add it to a dress like the Bella Frill Dress or the Cami Top as a detachable 2 piece garment or a one piece garment. If you are interested in making an overall for your dog, you can use this pant pattern as well.

Petal Sleeve Top Sewing Patterns for Girls

Before my relocation a couple of years ago, I held a Technical Design position in the Apparel Industry in NYC in Childrenswear, from women’s division to children’s. Prior to the Technical Design position, I was working as a full-time Production Analyst for a big corporate company in the garment industry throughout my full-time night & weekend college years.  I have decided to make a sewing pattern for you to make for your daughter, niece or granddaughter. I thought you guys might be interested. I am in my mid 20’s, not married or have any kids yet, and no models or mannequin to fit the sample. You might have to make adjustments to this Petal Sleeve Top Sewing Pattern to fit the person you are making this for.

You can make it 2-tier like the picture above or just 1-tier. I like invisible pockets right at the side seam of the ruffle and also add a 1/8”-1/4” elastic at the empire seam to give the child the ease of getting in and out of this top other than the front buttons. You can switch the button closure to the back rather than the front if you like the back better. I made the patterns with front button closure, because I thought some of your kids like to dress themselves and buttons in the front makes it a lot easier.

If you are making this for an Infant or Toddler and would like to have a pair of shorts or pants sewing patterns to match this top, please check back later.

Weekend Backpack Sewing Pattern

It’s nice to have a small weekend backpack to put your stuff in and perfect for children and adults. You can make this backpack as big or small as you like. You can even turn this backpack into a diaper backpack. All you have to do is to add some pockets inside for diapers and elastic straps for bottles.

I like the 2 small pockets outside, very convenient to put keys, cell phone or other small items. I have left the inside plain and simple so I can put in a detachable organizer. You can make it however you want using my Weekend Backpack Sewing Pattern as a base pattern.

A Big Bowl of Love (Dog Treat Recipes)

It's Yummy
It's Healthy
Made with love
Homemade Dog Treats!
It's perfect to show your dog how much you love them this Valentine's Day.
Check out the recipe guide below

I started making dog treats for my dogs 2 years ago. They love them. The best thing about these dog treat is, there is no coloring, preservatives, artificial flavors or any other ingredients that I don't want my dogs to consume. I do find homemade dog treat cost a lot less than buying those organic dog treats. No matter what the label said, there is always some kind of preservatives in those treat to prevent it from getting spoil and longer shelf life.

Doggie Skort & Diaper Cover Sewing Patterns

This 2-in-1 Doggie Skort & Diaper Cover pattern is perfect to make your small dog. You can use this Doggie Skort/Diaper Cover Pattern and my Bella Frill Dress Pattern to make a set outfit. To ensure that the Skort doesn’t come off, you can also sew some Velcro or buttons onto the Bella Frill Dress & the Skort or Diaper Cover at waist/band to give that extra hold.

For male doggies, you can use a suspender to hold the Diaper Cover in place or attach it to any other shirt that you are making. You can use the Pleated Coat Pattern to make a shirt to go with this diaper cover.

Please note this Doggie Skort / Diaper Cover Sewing Pattern is intended for small dogs. This pattern is not a One Size Fit All pattern. If you want to make one for your dog, you might need to make small adjustments accordingly.

Harness Top Sewing Patterns

This harness is good for small and big dogs, especially the ones that don’t like to wear clothes in the winter. You can also make one to go hiking with your dog or for the hot summer with cooling gel beads like the polymer cooling beads inside to keep your dog cool. If you are adding the cooling features like the polymer beads, make sure you don’t add too much and use the appropriate fabrics for evaporation,
heat release, absorption, and keep your dog dry and cool.  If you would like the Harness top to be more feminine, instead of adding a functional pocket to the harness, you can add ruffles to make it look like a dress. Use my Bella Frill Dress for ruffle reference.

Please note, this is a base pattern, you might need to adjust the patterns to fit your dog.

3:03 Coffee Break

What are you having at your 3:03 coffee break?

Well, I made Chocolate Orange Almond Biscotti to go with my 3:03 coffee break of the day. These are my favorite. The biscotti are full of almonds and a touch of orange flavor with yummy semi-sweet chocolate at the bottom compliment with a really nice cup of coffee. So Yummy! Since I have made a lot of biscotti I will bring a box over to a friend’s house later.
